Hi there. I run a hyperlocal site in Llandaff, Cardiff, Wales called, unsurprisingly, Llandaff News: https://www.llandaffnews.com/. I’m keen to give the Assignment Desk plugin a try and have activated the plugin, as well as those recommended to work with the plugin.

The site doesn’t have an external user-facing function to register, as does the Local East Village. Obviously, with the pitch form, it seems extremely useful to have the pitch author able to create a username and password. In fact, I’ve found that the form won’t function without this.

Can anyone recommend a plugin that will allow my site users to register and work in tandem with Assignment Desk?

    Thank you!
    Joni Ayn

    Hey Joni,
Great to hear you’re trying out the Assignment Desk! You’ll need to enable registration within WordPress itself to allow users to register for the Assignment Desk. Once you’ve done that, you’ll have a registration form you can link to at the bottom of the pitch form much like this one. The Assignment Desk plugin is at v0.6.1 so there’s obviously a few of these inconsistencies we need to work out.

    Cheers,

    Daniel
