  • Phil, the layout of the page loads fine for me using Firefox. Are you sure it’s broken?

    Hey Philippp,
Thanks for the note. I took a look at your page and the pitch submission form looks as it should in v0.6.1. At the moment, the plugin doesn’t come styled on the front-end and doesn’t have an opinion as to how you style the form. If your theme doesn’t include CSS specific to standard form elements, then it will most likely show up as it does on your page. You can use a tool like Firebug to play with the styling in Firefox before you commit it to your theme’s stylesheets.

    Does that answer your question?

    Thanks,

    Hey!

Thanks for your reply. I tried the latest versions of Safari, FF and Chrome – it looks the same in every browser.

    Ok, got that.

And not like this one, right?

To make my form look like the one mentioned above I have to add something to my CSS, right? CSS specific to standard form elements?

    Thanks!

    Hey Phil,

You’re correct will have to add styles to your CSS to make your form look like the one on lev.openassignment.org.

Here’s the style that lev is using. https://lev.openassignment.org/wp-content/themes/lev-interim/css/vad.css

    Great! Thanks, Erik.

I am looking at the vad.css file however, I haven’t a clue as to where or who to apply the changes…. I really need to have this pitch form reworked… I kind of looks like the first asp form I ever created… dull, crunched together, and not very “professional” looking…

On which file does one make changes to the “look and feel” of this form?

    Hey,
We intentionally did not style the pitch form. Currently, it outputs valid HTML you can either style within WordPress theme or with a plugin like WordPress.com custom CSS. I would recommend the latter. Any CSS you add will apply to the website, and you can use a tool like Firebug to inspect the elements of the form. I would encourage you to not edit any files within the plugin itself.

    Cheers,

    Daniel
