  • Currently, I’m testing WP 3.0 with multiple blogs in on installation and this “Track #1” appears instead of the the ID3 tag information. This problem occurred after I started to test the multiple blogs mode.
In my single blog installation of WP 3.0 it works as usual.

My problem is solved: The problem behind my observation is that I have tested so far only on a local Windows machine and every time I use localhost instead of 127.0.0.1 in the address then the player shows only “Track #1” instead of the ID3 tag information. So the cause for the problem is my test environment. I’m sorry for the wrong alert!

I’m sorry, but this is still a problem.

I have discovered that this problem exists also in other WP 3.0 multi site blogs which are on real servers and not on my local XAMPP installation.
I can also report that I know a different blog where the player shows the ID3 data. This blog is a single blog installation of WP 3.0.

Maybe it has something to do with the content of the .htaccess file.

Okay, I have discovered the FAQ section: https://wpaudioplayer.com/frequently-asked-questions
