eric01: on our system that’s actually just fine because our theme has author pages for all registered users listing their posts and all blogs which they are members of… If I understand correctly you’d like to have links to the user’s own blogs, right?

That should be doable and I think this would be a new feature: “link to user’s (primary) blog”. (… next version ;-))

Warning: This plugin breaks the functionality in Use google libraries.

    More info here

Niska, thanks for bringing this to our attention. I am not sure it is actually the “fault” of the author avatars list plugin; see my response here.

As I said in the comment: I am not sure what’s happening here exactly but I’m open for suggestions and willing to change the Author Avatars List plugin if necessary… ??

I just used the automatic upgrade feature to update the plugin and got the following error message:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '&', expecting T_VARIABLE or '$' in /htdocs/www/wp-content/plugins/author-avatars/lib/AuthorAvatars.class.php on line 267

    Hm, that’s a PHP4 issue again…

Can you override your copy of the file /lib/AuthorAvatars.class.php with this version and see if that fixes it?

Must sort out that PHP4 to PHP5 transition! I’ll give that a try and let you know how it works out. Thanks.

I’m afraid it still triggers a fatal error. I reinstalled the older version, so the plugin’s still working on the site.

If you pass me the new error message I can try to sort that one out as well… if it was the exact same error message (same message and line number) then something probably went wrong on your end when copying the file above to your server… ??

When I uploaded the modified AuthorAvatar.class.php file and tried to go to my home page I saw a weird page with the WordPress plugins logo at the top, and lower down the code for the AuthorAvatar.class.php file. At the foot of the page was the following error message:

Fatal error: Cannot instantiate non-existent class: authoravatars in /htdocs/www/wp-content/plugins/author-avatars/author-avatars.php on line 16

Restoring the older version of the file allowed the site to work again.

Ah, the site’s kind of working but in the sidebar where the avatars should appear I’m now seeing

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '&', expecting T_VARIABLE or '$' in /htdocs/www/wp-content/plugins/author-avatars/lib/UserList.class.php on line 295

    (@bforchhammer)

Here’s a new version of lib/UserList.class.php… Any chance you could test that for me in the next few hours?

I am going to release a bugfix version soon and I’d like all php4 issues to be fixed by then ??

I’m getting this issue when trying to install it

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘&’, expecting T_VARIABLE or ‘$’ in /homepages/44/d182233238/htdocs/lp/blog/wp-content/plugins/author-avatars/lib/AuthorAvatars.class.php on line 267

after installing the other files you posted i now get this error screen…

    hope this helps

@charleslaw: thanks for the screenshot. Could you have another look and see if you can find an error message in that “Plugin could not be activated” box some where? (an error message similiar to the ones above).

Without a specific line of code to look at I can’t really do much I’m afraid…

hi i upgraded to 0.7.1 of your plugin but still getting an error message

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting ‘)’ in /homepages/44/d182233238/htdocs/lp/blog/wp-content/plugins/author-avatars 2/author-avatars.php on line 15
