Installed plug-in, activated it, and it took a long time generating photos. When it was done, there was no indication on what to do next, no photos visible in posts. To make matters worse, any time I try to set a featured image, it doesn’t work. Specifically, a photo is uploaded, click on Gallery, click ‘Set Featured Image’, and the window just pops back to the top of the window.

  • Hi,
Let me give some details of my setup.

I have the images in a separate folder outside of the wordpress install.
The wordpress app is not the default app i.e. / is not served from wordpress, currently /wp is served by wordpress.
The image path is relative to the root i.e. /static/img/a1.jpg

The issue I guess is that the plugin does not seen to able to get the image. The image is served properly when we view any post. But the featured image does not get set. What could be the reason for the behaviour? Any remedies? I have thousands of posts and setting featured images for each of the post would be quite tedious.

No way to regenerate thumbnails with another size? Also is not possible to delete previous generated thumbnails and then regenerate them?

I used the plugin and got featured images for each of my blog posts.

But the posts themselves were not updated — the only way I can get the featured images to display on the blog is to go into each individual post and press ‘Update’.

Is there any other way to get all the blog posts to update with the new featured images the plugin generated?

I am having the same problem. No thumbnails being generated.

I have a suspicion that it will only look in the folder designated in the Media settings page, e.g. if that is set for “wp-content/uploads”, it will only look there and nowhere else.
