I use Easy Updates to upgrade plugins, which includes the Mailpoet premium version. That has two modules. I’ve noticed that when Mailpoet autoupdates often one of the two modules will deactivate itself. If I manually upgrade Mailpoet this does not happen.

Is it possible that anything in Easy Updates causes a conflict with Mailpoet which would deactivate one of the modules? This may be a longshot, but I’m trying to rule out all the different possible causes to get to the culprit.

    Hi @richards1052,

Easy Updates Manager doesn’t change the way WordPress updates plugins / themes. It just automates it. So there is no code in EUM that causes plugins to deactivate.

My guess is that two modules may depend on each other’s version and has code to deactivate itself, if the requirement is not met. But it is just a guess. All I can assure is that EUM doesn’t have such code that can deactivate plugins. Also, EUM works without any issues with premium plugins that uses same update mechanism as WP

    Hi there,

Just installed this plugin but with me I got the same issue. 3 plugins where updated automatic but all 3 of them where deactivated also. This included Wordfence what is a major problem.

    Hope you have an answer..
    Thanks,
    Bertus.
