[Plugin: AutoChimp] Error 250

  • Hi there,

    I get the error message 250 when trying to update the mailchimp mailing list:

    Problem adding (‘[email protected]’) to list 0e794cf81f. Error Code: 250, Message: MERGE2 must be provided – Please enter a value, Data: Array ( [FNAME] => [LNAME] => )

    I can avoid this error by un-ticking the “required” box in the mailchimp List field for “Name”, but this means i won’t get the subscribers name in the mailchimp mailing list.

    What do i have to do to make this work? It says “Stick this tag in your content” next to the tick box, but i don’t know which tag i should use.

    I’d appreciate your help very much ??

    Hi Stefan,

    If you require first and last names, then you should use another plugin like Register Plus Redux to require users to enter first and last name. Otherwise, yes, AutoChimp will fail to sync with your mailing list because there’s simply no data for your required fields. Be sure to check the “Patch Register Plus Redux” checkbox in the AutoChimp settings after you activate Register Plus Redux. Give that a try!
