[Plugin: BackUpWordPress] Different schedule for Full and DB backup

    Just now the database of a WP site I have crashed, taking with it all posts and pages. As I had a backup (thanks to BUWP) I could restore everything and nothing was lost.

    With that said, I was thinking it could have taken me much less time if I didn’t have to download a full backup file just to extract the database backup…

    The original plugin included the possibility to set two different backup types with two different schedules: I used a daily db backup and a weekly full backup, which saved me time an a lot of disk space.

    I know it may not be easily implemented, but is this a feature you (humanmade, joehoyle, mattheu, tcrsavage, willmot) are planning to add sometime in the future?

    Hi Idearius,

    I agree that would be a really useful feature and It’s definitely something that we plan to implement in a future version.

    Your more than welcome to fork backupwordpress on github and have a go at implementing it yourself, if you do, send us a pull request.

    I can only wish I have the those particular brain connections needed to be a programmer ??

    My work is usually between programmers and users, detecting and understanding needs from both sides, /translating/ them and designing interfaces.

    I look forward for the next version!

    Just to add to idearius idea:
    Would it be possible to have (on a multisite) certain sites (really active ones or “risky ones” where admins are known to mess things up) chosen to update on a different pace?

    For example have a full weekly backup and daily database backups from sites 5,4,27,132 along with files from blogs.dir/5,4,27,132
