The release candidate for BGMP 1.8 is now available. The biggest new feature is that it’s internationalized. Other changes are listed in the changelog.

There are two things I could use some help with for the final release:

    1. Additional testing. I’ve tested it on my development server and I think that it’s ready for release, but a lot of the code was modified or refactored, so I’d like to get some additional testing before releasing it to everyone, just to make sure there aren’t any painful bugs.

If you’d like to try it out, just download 1.8-rc1 and install it. If you notice any problems, give detailed feedback here and then downgrade to 1.7 until they’re fixed.

If you don’t notice any problems, please leave a quick note here so that I know it’s working for others.

    2. Localization. If you speak a non-English language fluently, please consider writing a localization for your language.

  • Hi Ian

1.8 seems to work fine for my maps.

I do have a display issue in 1.7 when using IE9 which is still present in 1.8 but I will open a separate thread for that.
