[Plugin: Better Anchor Links] Splitting lists in columns

Hello,
thank you for this plugin, it works great.
However, I believe it’s missing an important feature: the possibility to split the list in columns.
I’d like to have a numbered list in 2 columns, like in newspapers. For example a 6 items list should have numer 1,2,3 on the left and 4,5,6 on the right.
Could you please consider adding this feature to your plugin?
