[Plugin: Better Protected Pages] WP password protect

I have a question about the WP password protect feature, maybe the author of this plugin might have the answer?

When I use the password protect WP feature on a page and, as the author of this plugin stated- WP by default keeps the page open after a password is entered, even if you close your browser (you have to clear cash for it to ask for the password again). Why when I open the page in Chrome’s incognito window does the browser not ‘remember’ the password? I have to enter it every time when I use the Incognito window.

So, is it a WP thing or a browser thing that makes the password ‘remembered’?
