[Plugin: Bit.ly Shortlinks] Consistently Reaching API Rate Limit

I find that around 30 minutes past the hour, I’ve always hit the bit.ly API rate limit and have to wait until the next hour before the shortlinks button appears again. Has anybody else encountered similar behavior with this plugin?
