    Thanks! The functionality is very similar to the BNS Featured Category plugin.

    Yes, I noticed! Did you get a chance to look into the styling re:post titles, would like to try a solid colour just behind it, could be a good alternative to not showing the title, which would still be a great option to have as well.

    I don’t recall the specifics of what you are referring to, but once the plugin is active and the widget is placed you should be able to identify the necessary CSS element(s) to style to your own preferences.

    I think the problem is that the CSS is styling the posts as well… I had a look with Firebug and could not see a way to target the post title directly. Does this makes sense?

    The CSS can be a bit tricky, especially since it would be installation specific to the theme and which instance WordPress recognizes the widget as being … so, to simplify I just updated the plugin to have a ” Do NOT display Post Titles” option.
