Plugin breaks css on my site

I have been trying to use this product with pagelines dms and it breaks the site. This is what the developers were saying with regards to the plugin.
“Some awesome plugin you have installed is using add_option() wrong. It was changed in WordPress 2.3 which was released on September 24, 2007”
