    Hello!

I recently noticed a problem in Gutenberg editor (stable release) currently using 5.6.4 version of WordPress and Neve theme.

When I try to add a link to a text/paragraph via the menu or via ctrl+k, the whole block breaks and throws “This block has encountered an error and cannot be previewed” error.

At first, I tried to disable all Gutenberg blocks plugins to see if it’s them causing the problem, but nothing helped.

After I disabled Rank Math and cleared the cache, the problem was gone and everything worked fine. When I re-enabled Rank Math and cleared the cache, the problem started happening again.

I was able to find some info about similar problem with different SEO plugin and apparently it can be caused by how wplinks scripts are handled by the plugin. Not sure if it helps.

    Hello @richv22,

Thank you for contacting the support and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

We couldn’t reproduce this issue on our setup with the stable ( & also with the beta ) version of Rank Math and the latest version of Neve theme.

    Here is a screencast:

There was an issue where the copied link was not showing the Preview modal. We have fixed it in the beta release which you can try. Also, please update WordPress to the latest version. You are using v5.6.4 & the latest version is 5.7.2

    Hope that helps.

    Hello @richv22

    Glad that sorted the issue.

If it isn’t too much to ask for – would you mind leaving us a review here?

It only takes a couple of minutes but helps us tremendously.

It would mean so much to us and would go a really long way.

    Thank you.??
