Hey Beth, thanks for the note here. Did this only start occurring upon updating to 2.0.10? We’ve had a few reports of older versions of jQuery (including one featured by a slider similar to yours) not reacting nicely with the 2.0.10 build, which sounds like it may be the case here…

Let me know. If that sounds likely, you may want to check if the slider is using the latest jQuery (as there will be issues if it isn’t).

Is jQuery 1.4.2 the current version? That’s what I see when I “view source.”

Hey Beth. I just checked out their site (https://jquery.com/) and it looks like 1.8.3 is the latest version of jQuery. That’s quite a gap between the two. Makes me wonder if that other slider you’re using may be abandoned by the dev or no longer updated…what do you think?

Oh, yuck. The slider is built in with the theme, so maybe that’s where I need to go – and I don’t think I’ve seen any theme updates.

    Thanks so much!

Sorry I can’t offer more on my end here. If there is a newer version of the theme and you find the problem persists even with that latest jQuery built-in, let me know and we can try to troubleshoot from there (as in that case it’d be likely the problem was on our end).

If you need anything else, please do let us know. Otherwise thanks for using The Events Calendar.
