• Hey there!

I did a lot of updates today and noticed afterwards that the text box for editing was broken. All the text is white and the visual editor doesn’t show up at all.

After testing all of my plugins, it was this one that broke it. As soon as I deactivate it, the editor comes back.

Looks like I’m going to have to deactivate it every time I want to edit a page or post, unless you have any ideas on how to fix it.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • I just updated to WordPress 5.3 and ran into the same issue as PixelPrism (I exclusively use the Classic editor, and neither the Visual or Text mode would work)

To troubleshoot I deactivated all my plugins, then activated them one at time and found this plugin (Patreon Button, Widgets and Plugin) breaks the post editor.

PS – I have no issues with Patreon WordPress or Patron Plugin Pro, just this plugin.

Looking into this. I will update this thread with results.

Im unable to reproduce this with WP 5.3, v 2.0.9 of the plugin, Classic Editor (latest), and PHP 5.6, 7.0, 7.1, and 7.2.

Which versions of Classic Editor, Patron Button and Widgets and PHP you have?

Do you see any errors in your browser’s console when you hit F12, reload the page and click on ‘Console’ tab?

    Thanks for looking into it.

Can you use your editor if you disable Organic Widgets Editor plugin?

    (@pixelprism)

No. When I disable the Organic Builder Widgets, the text box still doesn’t work, but now there’s no error on F12.

In that case, please visit Codebard help desk at https://codebard.com/help-desk and post a support ticket on this with the details.

    @pixelprism Any news yet?

The big red banner saying “At least one plugin in Patron Pro package is not installed,, inactive or must be updated. This may prevent Patron Pro from working.” is getting to me lol.

Thankfully the other two plugins do work without it ??

Thanks either way and Happy Holidays,

@mrshawntierney Pixelprism has not responded since then.

Since this affects Patron Pro, a premium plugin, you can bring this issue to Codebard help desk to get it resolved. Just visit help desk below and post a ticket and lets see whats wrong.

@codebard Thank you for your reply.

I’ve posted here since this issue ONLY occurred when this free plugin was enabled. The problem did not occur with either or both Patreon WordPress or Patreon Pro enabled.

That said, seeing as both Patreon WordPress and Patreon Pro both had recent updates, I took a chance and updated both as well as updated to WordPress 5.3.1 (prior to the 5.3.2 release,) then re-activated this plugin and so far everything seems to be working again ??
