Plugin breaks visual editor in WP 4

    The visual editor in WP 4 is supposed to work different from before, without scrollbar in the content area and the top buttons fixed and always visible as you scroll down.

    This is broken with Comprehensive Google Maps. The buttons are not fixed.

    Disabling the plugin fixes the problem. Enabling it again makes the problem reappear.

    It may be related to this message when I enable the plugin:

    Please be mindful:
    In order for Comprehensive Google Map Plugin v9.0.20 to function without issues, it requires one of the following:

    [a] Your blog has to use jQuery 1.9+
    [b] If your blog uses an older version of jQuery, make sure it is used in conjunction with jQuery Migrate plugin

    If [a] nor [b] are true, it will result in broken plugin. Just give it a try and see. In any case, support forum is available to you.

    EDIT: the Add Object button doesn’t work either.

    WordPress 4 and version 9.0.20 of this plugin caused all my TinyMCE buttons to go away. When adding/editing a post or a page.

    Never used the plugin anyway, so fixing was as easy as removing the plugin.

    Same problem.

    Workaround posted on page 1 of this thread provides a temporary fix.

    That workaround still foobars some of the maps and doesn’t account for Chrome. It did not work for me.

    Will have to wait for the creator to issue a fix.

    That is strange. I have just checked with Chrome and on my site everything is working.

    I have a similar problem that the visual editor no longer exists and I can’t update any of my pages.

    I upgraded to 4.0, then downloaded the GoogleMaps plugin.

    I then had the problem with the pages/visual editor. I then deleted the plugin, however the problem still exists and I cannot edit any pages.

    I have the same problem as the original poster. I’ll fore-go the “temporary fix,” and disable it and hope that the creator will soon respond or better yet, resolve this problem.

    I removed ‘media’ from the comprehensive google map head php as mentioned above and it worked for me. Thanks.

    Thank you! Will we need to amend this in the future or will ShaMan’s fix be permanent?

    Same Frozen Issue but it’s not just the image gallery..

    I’ve got dozens of maps on my site & HOPE CGM is updated soon. It will take days to do this all over again with another plugin.
