I installed this plugin, created a child theme for the theme Bridge, activated it and now no pages will load either in the WP backend or public pages.

    “The page isn’t working

*URL* is currently unable to handle this request.
    HTTP ERROR 500”

I deleted the plugin folder via FTP and the site still isn’t loading. What can I do?

    Hi freshpromo,
I can’t test plugin on Bridge theme because it’s a Premium Theme.
I just tested the new plugin version on WordPress 4.7.4 both on my websites and locally, all seems work fine.
Regarding ‘HTTPS ERROR 500’, it’s about a ‘internal server error’, maybe it’s a temporary error, or corrupted .htaccess file, under no circumstances is this error attributable to the plugin.
    You could try to:
    – Reload the web page. You can do that by clicking the refresh/reload button, pressing F5, or trying the URL again from the address bar.
    – Clear/Delete your browser’s cache.
If the error persists, you have to investigate in depth.
I was searching on Google, I found this links, I hope that help you to figure out the issue:

Let me know if you solved

As did Freshpromo, I created and then activated a child theme. The site crashed with error 500.

Upon checking the database wp_options; template & stylesheet rows. The template was still set to the parent theme, while the stylesheet was set to the child theme. Restoring “stylesheet” back to the parent corrected the error 500.

I tried to install Tempera (I think is the theme you are using) on a clean WordPress installation, then I installed Cryout Serious Theme Settings 0.5.7., and the plugin works correctly, both locally and remote, so I can exclude that plugin could be incompatible with the theme you are using.
It may be incompatible with one or more plugins installed on your site, but as I said before, ‘Error 500’ is a generic mistake, it’s very difficult to figure out where is the issue.
