Hi, I am developing a site for a client in twentyfourteen. I really like this plugin, but sadly, it broke all the styles I had created to my client’s delight using the plugin Styles: twentyfourteen.

The only thing I have discovered that allows me to even access the style settings again is to deactivate the Strong Testimonials plug-in. So all my time creating testimonials and setting up my views was wasted. I’m now starting over again with a different Testimonials plug-in. I thought you would want to know.

This would be a 5-star plug-in if it were compatible with my stylesheet. Sadly, I’m back to zero on testimonials not to mention the time spent uncovering the culprit.

Thank you for letting me know. I don’t like wasting time either.

It bugs me when plugins don’t play nice together. It really bugs me. I have spent hundreds of free hours tracking down conflicts. I have purchased premium plugins and themes that I never intend to use elsewhere just to track down conflicts. I have adapted my plugin to handle poor coding practices in other plugins.

Like the hour I spent this morning fixing this. One hour. One.

Fortunately, this conflict was simple and was easily fixed by changing one line of code.

You started a topic on that plugin’s support forum. Why didn’t you ask me for help before switching to another plugin? Did you automatically assume that I would not care and would not try to find a solution?

If so, I understand. Many plugins languish and their users suffer because some developers simply cannot provide the necessary support. That’s actually how Strong Testimonials started.

If you read my plugin reviews and the support forum, you will see I will move mountains to make this plugin work for you.

I understand cutting your losses and not throwing good money after bad, so to speak. But in my view, *you* wasted your time by giving up so quickly.

Hi Chris. Man, I just logged in to ask another question and now I’m seeing your response to an old one. You may remember that we connected through your Plugin website email and you helped me very much. Thank you! I love the plugin!
