[Plugin: Buddypress-Ajax-Chat] Shoutbox keeps popping back up

Every time I view a Buddypress group component that has been added with a plugin (ex: Group Documents, another simple plugin I built upon the Buddypress Skeleton Component framework), the Shoutbox pops up. If I click the “close” icon, the page refreshes and the Shoutbox pops right back up.

This does not happen when viewing one of the built-in group components, like the ‘Home’ tab or the Forum tab. It also doesn’t happen when viewing a member profile – only when viewing a group.

Has anybody else seen this? Do you have any ideas about why it’s happening or how to resolve it?
