[Plugin: BuddyPress Group Email Subscription] No Email won't be sent

I’m guessing that you’re not actually getting subscribed for some reason, which would explain why the emails aren’t being sent. Try switching to the BuddyPress Default theme for a moment to see if the problem persists. If so, that will at least narrow it down.

I deactivated the plugin because of the reason I mentioned above. At the moment I cannot switch to the bb default theme. Do think it’s an issue with Buddyboss theme?

I don’t know for sure, but the symptom you describe – the AJAX spinner spinning but never resolving – sounds like it might be theme related.

Do you know how to use your browser’s Javascript console? If so, you should enable it, activate the plugin, attempt to subscribe, and see what happens when the POST request is sent. Is anything coming back from the server? If not, it’s possible that BuddyBoss does not have the proper AJAX handler files.

Though I should note that BPGES has its own AJAX handlers that should do the work, even if BuddyBoss doesn’t. So this is more a guess than anything else.

For the moment I switched to the BB Group Email plugin. This works stable without any errors, see https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/buddypress-group-email/

But your plugin has the possibility of subscriptions. Hope this works soon.
