[Plugin: Buddypress] Integration with Canvas by Woothemes

I’m using the latest version of Buddypress with Canvas by Woothemes. Mostly everything looks good on the site except that my buttons in a few areas (submit and save changes) are not formatted according to my Canvas theme settings.

The buttons are white, white hover, and very faint gray (almost illegible) and in another area, similar but with a blue shadow behind the button.

I’ve tried adding a few snippets of code into my main theme styling sheet here on wordpress and it didn’t change a thing.

How can I go about editing those settings specifically for the Buddypress buttons?

To add, I’m fairly new at all of this but I can navigate through my hosting folders so the easier the solution the better. Thanks!
