[Plugin: Business Directory Plugin] Search by Category and another field

Hi
Is there a way to have the search functionality, enhanced/changed to allow users to search by say Business Category but then also on another field,
e.g. User selects from a drop down from a specific category let us say ‘Restaurants’ and from another field called say Location ‘New York’.
Anybody got any ideas of how I can achieve this?
