• Hi,

    I have tried to reinstall this plugin many times but still can’t activate it.

    The error is:
    Warning: require(/home/rocketwe/public_html/vietsoc.com/wp-content/plugins/buddybar-widget/includes/class-buddybar-widget.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/rocketwe/public_html/vietsoc.com/wp-content/plugins/buddybar-widget/buddybar-widget.php on line 53

    Please help.
    Thank you ??

  • Hi all,

    I have the same problem and like to ask for a fix too.

    will;

    I’m answering only because I just managed to install this and it appears to have some potential over the built-in buddypress widgets…

    There is a lot wrong with this package and a few ways to go about correcting it, but this may be the easiest if you’re tech savvy enough

    1) Create a folder in the plugin’s directory called includes (at the same level as assets and classes)
    2) Move class-activator.php class-deactivator.php and class-buddybar-widget.php into the includes folder
    3) Rename class-activator.php to class-buddybar-widget-activator.php and class-deactivator.php to class-buddybar-widget-deactivator.php

    and that should allow you to activate it

    Thanks stitchkingdom,

    this did the trick. But I do not feel very well with this “manual” change.

    I just had a quick look at the widget and you’re right, it seems very promising. What else is wrong with the package? Is there a way to let the Dev know about your further improvements?

    will;

    Thanks, I had the same fatal error and this sorted it out1
