[Plugin: Capability Manager] Can I remove or delete a capability? reset to default capabilities?

  • using WP 2.9.2. I installed a plugin called Connections (and then deactivated and removed it) and it apparently added several capabilities that I would like or need to be able to delete. I am also using Profiler. Apparently, Profiler does not work with roles I created or edited, so I am trying to change them back to default capabilities. Is there a way to reset roles back to default? Anyway, any member that is assigned a role that I changed or added is not appearing in the membership directory. I need to hack the Profiler plugin, but I believe I also need to be able to “fix” the roles that I edited or added. Can you please help?

    My issue may have been partially resolved. I had the plugin Wp Comments Moderators installed at one time. I selected all the users that I wanted to be moderators and it changed their capabilities. When I deactivated that plugin and removed it, it did not “unchange” the capabilities. I had to reinstall the plugin, then deselect the users as moderators, then deactivate. Now, my members are appearing in the Profiler membership directory. The issue I am trying to resolve is apparently not related to the capabilities manager, but I would still like to know if capabilities can be deleted, or roles restored to default.
