[Plugin: CataBlog] Using Catablog as Movie Database with custom sorting

Hey everybody,

I have a wordpress website and would like to add a movie database to it. So basically the same concept as known from IMDb.com

I have already installed catablog, but am having a little trouble seeing whether it fits my needs…and therefore also trying to assess what additional coding work would be required for my needs.

Maybe you can help me out to find out if Catablog is able to give me what I want…and possibly you can give me a couple of suggestions on how to achieve that ??

So what I basically need is 1) to add items with descriptions (so basically posts – I know this works with Catablog) 2) show images and specific details of these posts in a gallery/category view – with link to the post page (I have not managed to get that done yet) 3) users have to be able to sort items in the gallery/category view according to specific values (e.g. ratings). So I must be able to define these sorting values. This is where I am not sure if it is supported by Catablog. So I must be able to define the sorting parameters (so sort by “rating” (flexible vale of the actual post) or sort by “name” (static value of the post).

I’d be sooo thankful if you could let me know if Catablog can do this.
