Unfortunately, I had to uninstall this plugin from my WordPress site because it was causing tremendous performance and reliability issues. After deactivating all of the plugins on my site and reactivating them one by one starting with the most important, I came to the conclusion that the Social Media Widget by Acurax plugin was the culprit who was rendering my WordPress site utterly useless. In order for you to troubleshoot any compatibility issues between plugins, here is a list of the active plugins on my site…

Akismet, CodeArt – Google MP3 Player, Google Analytics by Yoast, Google Analytics Dashboard for WP, Google Doc Embedder, Jetpack, Media File Renamer, Page Links To, Slidely slideshows embed easily, Udinra All Image Sitemap, UpdraftPlus – Backup/Restore, Wordfence Security, WordPress SEO.

With this information, I hope you will be able to troubleshoot any incompatibilities between the plugins and rectify the issue so others won’t be subjected to the same frustration that I have felt.

I’m sorry, but I’m not interested in troubleshooting the issue on my site. I just wanted to give you a heads up that there may be some incompatibilities with the Social Media Widget by Acurax plugin and the other plugins I have listed above. I have already installed a smaller, cleaner and more reliable social media icon plugin on my site that works better for my needs.

Good luck and I hope you solve the problem.

You posted the exact same thing about another social media plugin here:

    What’s up with that?

    You’re right, I did.

Based on my findings, both social media plugins were causing my sites to have poor performance and reliability. After removing each independent plugin from my sites, the performance improved dramatically. Seems pretty logical to me.

Now, why is this a problem?

so has there been a fix to this, as I am having the same issue?….
