Hi! This is the exact plugin that I want to use for adding recent posts to my homepage in terms of options…

However when I add the command on my homepage, it changes the text formatting…. changing the nicely spaced lines shown in the visual tab to single spaced and jumbled. I have deactivated the plugin and the problem goes away…

    The command used is

    [tpg_get_posts numberposts=3 thumbnail_size=”none”]

It does exactly what I want except for single spacing the first paragraph of what I’ve written on the home page…

It looks likes this has been fixed. Would you post the correction here in case someone else has this issue. Thanks

The issue is still present on my end… I’ve refreshed and it remains. If you look again at the home page the first paragraph (which is supposed to be separated by <p> command s I have added) is single spaced. If you scroll down the blog posts are double spaced spaced (which is how wordpress arranges it normally), except for some of the first paragraphs.

This is how the text looks in the visual tab…

If you click on the post heading to show the individual post, it is all double spaced. This is set by the theme.

In the post, the first paragraph is not wrapped with a <p> tag, but the second paragraph is. This is probably due to a difference in the the way the post is entered.

Look at the post in the post editor under the text tab and you should see differences in the <p> tags around the first and second paragraph. I would expect to see no <p> around the first paragraph. Add or remove the <p> tags to get the formatting you desire.

I have inserted break commands and the paragraphs are showing spaced. The lines are still single spaced though. When i deactivate the plugin, the typical wordpress double spacing comes back.

Is there a fix for this?

I deleted the plugin again and the problem goes away. All spacing shows up how i added it. The problem is specifically with the home page (not the post pages). The text formatting only shows up on the same page that I added the get posts command.

your theme sets the <p> at 1.8em see style.css line 247. This is almost double spacing of lines.

You can set a custom class with line-height:none; and assign the custom class to the post content for the front page shortcode. This will override the theme setting.

thanks for your help! I had some other people look at my page from their computers, and it seems that everyone else sees the formatting fine. For some reason it keeps coming up different on my end. I am not sure why it would be different for me. But if it looks fine for everyone else I am ok with that. Sorry for the confusion!
