Plugin changing page link to a post link

Hi there,
This is the second time that this plugin has done this: After the initial install and set up of a category list on a page, it works fine. After awhile, though, the category list highjacks the post link of one of posts included in the category so that now the links for the individual post now goes to the category list page instead of the post.
On my site (thisweekinheresy.com), the link for the list page was supposed to be https://www.thisweekinheresy.com/30-days-of-social-justice/, but it ended up using the link to to the first post in the series (https://www.thisweekinheresy.com/30-days-of-social-justice-1-what-is-social-justice-30daysofsocialjustice-amwriting/) as the page link. So when someone clicked on that post from the category list page, the link wouldn’t go to the post, it would just stay on the page. I was able to fix it by changing the page slug in the Quick Edit function, but I’m wary of this changing again, since I did nothing to cause the problem in the first place. Is there a way to keep this from happening again?
I checked in both Chrome and Safari, and it was happening in both.
