Plugin – choose smilies?

Hello. I was wondering whether anyone was aware of a plugin or similar option for WP 1.5 that would allow a user to choose their smiley from available smilies, for use in their comment (as opposed to the standard of typing the text version and having WP change it automatically.)?

Also, is there a plugin available for that function [choosing the smilies] when authoring posts?
