    What does it mean when a plugin is closed?

    That depends on the plugin. If a reason is not yet clear on the plugin’s listing, it will be added within 60 days.

    Do I need to remove it or is it removed automatically?

    We do not automatically remove plugins from your site. I usually recommend finding an alternative if you find that a plugin you use has been closed.
