• I have made a page, built with Elementor, to include the ShopLentor universal product layout. I am trying to filter these results using the WooCommerce Product Filter by WooBeWoo, which I have added to my page using the available widget through Elementor. Features I have included, such as price and sort by categories, do not work with the universal product layout. Is there any way to connect these two plugins or a settings feature I am missing on either or to enable filtering to work with ShopLentor?

    Thank you in advance!

Thank you very much for getting in touch with us ??

I have thoroughly read your message.

Since the ShopLentor plugin follows all the best practices and conventions of WooCommerce, the filtering options will only work on the Shop and Archive pages. But here is a thing about the “WL: Universal Product Layout” widget:

The widget is NOT mainly designed to be used on the Shop and Archive pages, but on the other pages. e.g. Homepage.

This could be the reason why the filtering options on your website are not working alongside the “WL: Universal Product Layout” widget.

Could you please try using the “WL: Product Archive Layout (Default)” widget instead of the “WL: Universal Product Layout” widget?

Please let me know if the filters from the “Product Filter by WooBeWoo” plugin works with the “WL: Product Archive Layout (Default)” widget or not.

I will eagerly look forward to hearing from you.

    Kind regards,
    Tarek Aziz

Thanks so much for your reply.

When using the “WL: Product Archive Layout (Default)” I received a “No products were found matching your selection” under the spot of the widget. What is the difference between an archive product layout and the universal product layout? I also see that the options between the two are different, such as query settings, which I found ideal for listing only specific categories in a given product search.

You are so very welcome @youngnexusllc ??

Thanks a lot for your response.

With due respect, I think the widget hasn’t been used properly. Otherwise, it would not have displayed such a message as “No products were found matching your selection.”

Anyway, don’t worry about it. We’ll definitely assist you with this.

Differences between the product archive layout and universal product layout:

The “WL: Universal Product Layout” widget is designed using a custom query (not the default WooCommerce query to fetch products). Hence, using the widget on the Shop and Archive pages is not recommended. Even if you use the widget on the Shop and Archive pages, it won’t work as expected.

On the other hand, the “WL: Product Archive Layout” widget is built using the default WooCommerce query so that it can be used on the Shop or Archive page.

Hope my answer clears things up!

Note: There is another widget available in the pro version of ShopLentor named “WL: Product Archive Layout (Custom)” that offers the exact same settings as the “WL: Universal Product Layout” widget and can also be used on the Shop and Archive pages.

    Best regards,
    Tarek
