This is a fantastic plugin. I’d donate but have hesitated for one reason. I lose time and information every time I deactivate then reactivate the plugin. Deactivating the plugin resets ALL of the data when it’s reactivated. I wish it could retain the weeks and months worth of accumulated data when deactivating. Occasionally, routine site maintenance requires that I deactivate all plugins then reactivate them. Who Hit The Page Hit Counter is the only plugin I use that erases all data and settings by simply deactivating.

First i would like to say sorry for the inconvinience cuased. But please note that there is a way to solve thi under the plugin’s settings page under “Who Hit The Page >> Settings”, under the heading “Uninstall Settings!”, choose the the option ” Leave all tables and data ” and then click “Update Options” below it. The next time you deactivate the plugin, all data will remain as is, just the way you want it.

    Sorry for the late reply.

Thanks for your response. May I suggest that you relabel the option you’ve described on the Settings page:

    Uninstall Settings!
    &
What should happen when you un-install the plugin?

    to

    Uninstall/Deactivate Settings!
    &
What should happen when you un-install/deactivate the plugin?

The user otherwise has no way of knowing or intuiting that this procedure will also apply when they activate/deactivate the plugin and they may perform these operations often.

I will consider that. Thank you for the feedback.
