[Plugin: Comprehensive Google Map Plugin] Maps taking way too long to load (up to 1 minute !)

    My website is https://www.monparispascher.com.
    I have just set up the comprehensive google map plugin and it is just exactly what I was looking for ! However my maps take from 7 to 60 seconds to load.

    All my posts have only one marker and the mpas take minimum 5 or 6 seconds to load.
    I also have a page that displays all the markers of my site in only one map (Marker Geo Mashup) and this one takes minimum 13 seconds and up to one minute to completely load itself.

    How can this take so long ? Is there a way for me to drastically reduce the loading time of your plugin ?

    I have the same question as monparispascher.

    I’ve create a Marker Geo Mashup Map with all my adresses on a single map (more than 100).
    It takes a long time and consume a lot of google resources to show all the markers on the map.

    Should it be possible to avoid the markers calculation on every refresh ? Should it be possible to generate a kml file from the concerned Geo Mashup Map ?

    Hi monparispascher,

    I just took a look at your site, if you’re refering to https://www.monparispascher.com/carte-des-bons-plans-paris/ it loads instantly on my computer, no delay whatsoever in Firefox on my mac.

    It seems that they use another plugin (https://www.mapsmarker.com/)

    Indeed I now use another plugin as the comprehensive google map was way too slow for me. However my new plugin is far from being perfect and I would be more than happy to get back to the comprehensive google map plugin if it could load much faster. Any idea on how to solve this issue ?

    I have implemented in version 7.0.29 geomashup content caching and server side address geocoding. It is not out yet, but if you can email me at azagniotov _at_ gmail little_black_circle com , I can email you the version for testing.

    hi – wonderful plugin – thank you – yet although I am up to scratch with version 7.0.29 – the plugin is still causing my whole site to load much slower.

    Any suggestions on how to fix this would be much appreciated.

    thanks for trying my plugin mapsmarker.com – I wonder what you are missing in my plugin – perhaps I can implement your ideas in one of the next versions…

    Maybe this is the wrong forum to ask but it’s the only place I found discussing slow loading times on Google Maps …This map of mine used to load real fast, first the tiles load up followed by the markers and then you click on any marker to load a picture.

    It’s a map of a flood affected city. However when the map reached 15,000+ views, it started doing background caching of images. So no markers are displayed until this process is over (2 to 3 minutes).

    Is there anything I can do to stop this background caching? Thank you.

    You guys can consider yourselves lucky, my maps doesn’t load at all. Plugin author: Please advise…

    About a week ago, my maps also stopped loading. Any help?
