plugin conflict

  • Hi friends,
    I’m using plugin AWPCP to operate Hueman as a classifieds site.
    I had a minor formatting maladjustment, but solved with style css.

    I’m facing one more problem, When a customer is placing an ad there is a counter for the heading chars and an other counter for ad content chars.As both extent is limited, the counter shows how much place is still free.
    The counter is good in both section ,but at the end the counter of the content is involving the chars from the heading. It sounds complicated but simple:
    Say header can have max 10 chars
    Content can have 20 chars.
    If I write to all the 30 places, content will display 10 words only ,as it is adding/grabbing the 10 chars from the heading area. But it should not!
    This is only a counting problem!
    Switching off all other plugins on the site made no result, so it is a theme conflict.With other themes and the test site of the plugin operates normally.
    My site is using Hueman and I don’t want to change.
    I have also reported the issue to the plugin forum.

    Any hint how and where to start fixing this.

  • On the test site it shows a demo of pagination. When I look on your site I don’t see an area where pagination is being used. I would suggest turning it back on if it off so people can see the problem. My guess is that it a styling or format problem.

    I looked and couldn’t see the problem. I didn’t see where a pagination plugin seems to be running.

    Thanks for the swift respond. On the demo site it is the “Place ad page”.
    On my site it is the home page. The problem is that only registered users can place an ad on my site. I can’t switch this off as it is not reversible.
    I use the default WP register system, so you would need to register to see the “Place ad page” on my site.
    I tried to open that page as admin, then “inspect element” in MOZ and tried to copy the codes but I can’t.
    Any idea, what can I do to have the codes copied?

    Not sure sounds more like a plugin problem than a theme issue.

    Hueman is my favorite, it is the WP leader in star ratings and AWPCP is the WP leader classifieds plugin. I’m just a simple site user without thorough knowledge of IT secrets. Just seeking the way to use both together. I don1t know if it is a theme issue or a plugin issue, but a user issue. ??
