    Hi,
I have a website with WPS Hide Login Version 1.9.16.4 and Hide Dashboard Notifications 1.3.1.
With both plugins active, my login page gives an error (insufficient permissions).
When I deactivate Hide Dashboard Notifications plugin, everything works as expected on the login page.

However, even with Hide Dashboard Notifications deactivated, once I log out of the site and try to access my entry page that I set in WPS settings, I get sent to my 404 page instead of the /wp-admin page.

    What’s going on?
    Thanks!
    Kerry

I can’t reproduce, can you give me the list of active plugins, the theme you are using as well as the version of WordPress / PHP?

you have the 404 by doing what action?

    Hi,
Let’s forget about the potential plugin conflict. I have deactivated Hide Dashboard Notifications.

With WPS Hide Login 1.9.16.6 activated, once I log out of the site and try to access my entry page that I set in WPS settings:
    (1) I get sent to my 404 page instead of the /wp-admin page.
    (2) The normal login page mysite.com/wp-admin also sends me to 404 page.

With WPS Hide Login deactivated, visiting mysite.com/wp-admin sends me directly to
    wp-login.php?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fmysite.com%2Fwp-admin%2F&reauth=1
which works, though I was surprised to be sent there.

    Hello,

Did you exclude wp-admin and wp-login.php from cache ?

    Thread Starter savethefrogs

    (@savethefrogs)

That is not something I can recall doing. Should I do that?

My hosting company says “by default these are already cached-bypassed, so when you login it’s not using any cache. We can add a rule for any other specific page/URL that needs to be excluded in the cache”

    What do you suggest? Thanks!
