We are a nonprofit agency using this plugin for all our playlists and videos. Love it! However, recent update has caused a plugin conflict with WP Jobs Manager. https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-job-manager/

We have a community job bank, free for both employers and job seekers to use. The community really depends on it. Embed Plus Plugin for YouTube plugin is preventing us from posting new job listings.

With Embed Plus Plugin for YouTube plugin disabled the job description field in the post is editable. When enabled the following error is produced when checking via the Chrome inspector:
Uncaught ReferenceError: $media_buttons is not defined

    WordPress: Current version: 6.0.1
Theme: WP Astra – version 3.8.2

    Is there a workaround?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Same issue here. Disabling the plugin is the only way to make the content area editable again. Client just complained about it.

We recommend reverting to the previous version of the plugin. We’ll explore the issue presented here in the meantime.

Thank you for the advice. I downgraded to 13.4.3. Fixed the issue. Now we can edit body text in Classic and Block editors again. Yay!

I turned off automatic updates. The plugin is out of date now. Please will you advise when the issue is fixed so we can upgrade to latest?

Thank you and I appreciate the help so much!!!

We’ve pushed a new version (14.1.4) that may fix your issue. For now it can be directly downloaded here, please let us know if your issue is resolved: https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/youtube-embed-plus.14.1.4.zip

Once we’ve confirmed things are good, we will release it as the new version for everyone (e.g. the WordPress autoupdater, etc.):
