We have Multiple Roles installed on our site and when a user edit their profile and or account data then upon saving the user role is set to none.

As I am new in the field of web programming I have not been able to trace this issue and hence I am reporting it to you. I have also informed the developer of the Multiple Roles plugin.

    Hi,

I think this will be happening because the plugins are not compatible. That plugin would have to integrate theirs with ours.

    Thanks

    Thanks ??

    Hi @jviseur @ultimatemember (anyone else!)
Did this get resolved? In particular, do you know if the Multiple Roles update 5 months ago fixed this? I’m currently spec-ing a site on which I’d like to use both plugins, but obviously only if the conflict has been sorted, and sorted in a way that will work for me – UltimateMember will need to make some choices/assumptions when it encounters a user with more than one Role. So a wider question is, can UltimateMember deal OK with a User with more than one Role, or is that always going to be a problem in principle?
    Many thanks ??

    Hi @wwwolf,

Sorry for the late reply. To be honest I do not know if this issue has been fixed.

At this point in time we are remodelling our site and are not yet up to that issue as yet but it will come up again. I think that our problem is that Ultimate Member uses “Community Roles” rather than simply the Roles.
