Hi, I just installed this plgin and the Tune image editors and now I”m gettign dire warnings about conflicts.

    Can I ignore these?
If not, what can I do?
I can’t see how to contact the plugin author JS Morriset which I saw suggested on another forum here.

    Anyone any idea?

    Many thanks, Sally

Hi – thanks. Am I? I don’t know. I looked at it and don’t see a how to or what to do piece that I can understand. I’m not tech savvy. Can you assist?
    Cheers, Sally

Your duplicates come from another plugin or from your theme. You have to disable those duplicate meta tags in that plugin or theme. If you’re asking how to disable the duplicate meta tags in whatever plugin or theme you’re using, then that would depend on the plugin or theme you’re using – and definitely a good question for that plugin or theme’s author.

WPSSO Core checks for conflicting options in several well known plugins that can create duplicate meta tags (Yoast SEO, All In One, SEO Framework, and many more). If that is the case, WPSSO Core will show an error message in the SSO notification area with clear instructions on which option(s) need to be changed and links to their settings pages. For example, might see an SSO notification message like “Please disable the ‘Add Open Graph meta data’ option in the Yoast SEO > Social > Facebook settings” (with a link to that settings page).

Yes, I wondered if it was yoast but when I follow the link I see no option to delete anything anywhere. even when I click social – facebook – twitter.

So I just deleted it. But I”m still getting the notification. I”m so confused.

You are the author yes? I just deleted the meta tags snippet I got from HeyMeta.

Can I leave all that and just use Yoast then? Do I actually need the SSO plugin? I really don’t know what I’m doing. Any guidance appreciated.
    Thanks again

Your replies are confusing. WPSSO creates meta tags and Schema markup that is superior to other SEO plugins. It can be used by itself, or in combination with other SEO plugins. If you’re using Yoast SEO, then as the SSO notifications suggest (if you’re using Yoast SEO), you need to disable the Facebook / Open graph, Twitter, and Slack features in the Yoast SEO settings. The SSO notifications include the name of the option to be disabled and a link to its settings page, so that should be pretty straightforward.

If you’ve manually added other meta tags and/or Schema markup in your theme templates or via your theme functions file, you should remove those as they will likely create duplicate meta tags.
