[Plugin: Constant Contact for WordPress] initial setup fails

I have now been locked out of CC several times because the login from the plugin is failing. I know it’s the right passsword and account, because I copied/pasted when I set the password on CC and then when I tried to login via WP. Is there some trick to this?
