• Hey Joshua,

I need to use individual first and last name fields in my form to ensure that I get the full name entered. I’ve tried many different variations, but the only way that I can find CM to populate the full name is by only using one fullname field. Otherwise, it only populates the firstname.

What is the proper way to configure:
    1. The form – here’s what I currently have in place for the name: [text* firstname 30/ watermark “*First Name”] [text* lastname 30/ watermark “*Last Name”]

    2. The Custom Fields on CM (I understand it that I don’t have to add a custom field here since the “Name” is already default and fallback setup)

    3. The Mail From and Body: [firstname] [lastname] <[youremail]> (this all delivers correctly)

    4. Campaign Monitor Subscriber Full Name field (in CF7 panel) = [firstname] [lastname]

    5. The Custom fields in Contact Form 7: Use Custom Fields = Yes, CustomKey1 = Name, CustomValue1 = [firstname] [lastname]

This combination is the only one that even populates CM name field, but I only get the first name.

Your feedback is greatly appreciated at your earliest possible convenience. I was hoping to have this working yesterday.

    Thank you,

    Jake

  • Hi bgt9752,

I have the same problem. Have you found a solution for this?

    Thanks,

    Hi Bill,

    Yes, kind of…

In CF7 make sure all references are equal to FirstName1 and LastName1, respectively. Both in the form and body of the message. As well, if you’re using custom fields, add the two new field names in your Campaign Monitor dashboard and then again in the WordPress custom key/value fields.

    I hope this helps.

I can’t get this to work either. It seems that when in the CF7 wordpress admin, whenever two CF7 field names (eg [fieldname1] [fieldname2]) are entered into the Campaign Monitor ‘Full Name’ field or any of the custom fields, only the first field (eg [fieldname1]) makes it through to Campaign Monitor.

This is also the case for me. I can’t get two fields to pass to Campaign Monitor for the Subscriber Full Name. Even using bgt9752’s suggestion above, only the first field will go through.

I”ve just encountered the same problem. Campaign Monitor will only pass the first field of any entry with two fields. Yet, the two fields appear fine everywhere else. Any help with this would be great as I’m trying to get this working for a client.

Bump this topic. It was opened 5 months ago, and still there is no resolution. What purpose does a support area serve if your users get no support?

The Campaign Monitor Addon only collects first names for the Full Name field even though it is filling the First Name and Last Name fields correctly. I need a solution to this problem.

Joshua (or someone who can help us), please respond. Thank you.

I am having the same problem: whenever 2 field names are entered, only the first field name is displayed in Campaign Monitor.
