[Plugin: Contact Form 7] CF 7 form validation

I am working on a custom theme for a new wordpress website and am using Contact Form 7 for several of the pages.

I am concerned that Contact Form 7 does not seem to protect against security vulnerabilities (i.e. I can pass markup into the form and the validation mechanisms do not flag it as invalid). First, are other people aware of this? If so, are you using some other validation code or are you using a different contact form altogether? Also, perhaps there are additional validation features for CF7; however, I have been unable to find them in the documentation thus far.

Is there another contact form plugin that is more strongly typed? I need a form that can validate text, email, phone numbers, and website addresses. Thank you again for your time and assistance!
