[Plugin: Contact Form 7] Failed to send message on localhost

  • Hi, I’ve got failed (red) message when I try this offline on Xampp XP sp2 with WP 2.5.
    I try online with same version and I received the email.

    Why this not work offline? I’ve got other cms on Xampp with contact form that works. Thanks to help me.

  • Because you can not send a mail to anyone online when you are offline.

    I think that I didn’t right explain: I work not offline but on local and I’m connected on internet. I try the script on a server on internet: it’s ok. I try on my localhost install: no email.

    Ok, mail server is working on the localhost?

    And I think this is not a problem of contact form plugin. You should make sure first that you can receive comment notification mail from WordPress.
