[Plugin: Contact Form 7] Form works, but the sender's name & email address fields are ignor

    I’ve had this ongoing problem for months and could really use some help here. My form works. The captcha field works. I receive emails sent through the form just fine. But, only the subject line and message are being sent. The email always shows that it came from my mail host, instead of the message sender. The sender’s name and email address are always ignored, which makes it impossible to reply anyone.

    I have tried switching both fields from required to not required (removing the *), but it makes absolutely no difference. I cannot get these two fields to send. They’re always missing. Any suggestions?

    Update:

    I have double checked my form settings and they are correct. The From field in my Mail section reads “[your-name]<[your-email]>” as it should, but as I stated earlier, this information is always ignored. I have tried the form with all other plugins disabled, but no luck – it makes no difference.

    For the interim, I have placed all of the form fields into the message section of my Mail field in order to make sure I that I still get the information. It’s inconvenient for keeping track of inquiries, but it works. I’d still love to have the name/email fields register in the appropriate section of the emails though. Any suggestions?

    I’ve heard that some hosting services rewrite header fields of mail through their servers. Ask your host about that.

    If it’s unclear, trying SMTP plugins like WP Mail SMTP might fix the problem.

    That’s definitely possible. I will dig into that a bit more and check out the SMTP plugin. Thanks for the suggestion! Much appreciated.
