[Plugin: Contact Form 7] Not working with WordPress 3.4?

    There seems to be a lot of users seeing problems with a combination of Contact Form 7 and WordPress 3.4. The problem is that after upgrading WordPress to 3.4, contact forms fail to send mail and show error messages of “Failed to send your message” with red border.

    To investigate this issue closely, we need more information about environments where it happens. We’d like to do a survey. If you see those problems, please answer the questions below as a comment to this topic. Please do not comment here if you have different kind of problems as it’s confusing.

    1. Do you receive other mail (like comment notifications) from WordPress?
    2. What hosting service do you use?
    3. What version of PHP do you use?
    4. What other plugins do you use?
    5. Do you use a SMTP plugin like WP Mail SMTP? Does it solve the issue?
    6. What theme do you use?

    One more question. How have you set in the To:, From: and Subject: mail header fields?

    The problem has been reported here by sumindmitriy.

    It was problem of the PHPMailer 5.2.1 bundled with WordPress 3.4 on PHP safe mode environment.

    How does one apply the fix?

    You need to make two minor changes to a specific php script:

    Use your php editor and ftp client of choice to accomplish this.

    Simple installing “WP Mail SMTP” worked for me.

    Neither class-phpmailer.php fix nor WP Mail SMTP worked for me.

    Where does CF-7 call php-mail function? I searched it in includes and modules directories without success.

    I am also getting following errors since upgrading to WP 3.4 while uploading images drag and drop to nextgen Any thoughts? Are you going to continue to develop plugin further since jetpack now has there contact form solution?

    This issue should have been fixed in WP 3.4.1.

    Hi,

    I just update to WP 3.4.1 then update to CF7 3.2. (because I was running old version of both).
    When testing the form, it says it was send with success, but I never receive the mail on my Google Apps account (event not in spam).

    I run CF 3.2 on several site WP 3.3.x with no problem. But since I update my site to WP 3.4.1, the mail seems to be sent but never reach my inbox.
