For some reason FS contact form works perfect and I get an email with all the form information but its not transfer that info to the database.

In the database its like nobody every filled out the form at all. It worked fine for 2 weeks with over 260 signups… but now nothing. It stopped working on Februrary 8th.

    Any ideas?

The site is magic-jack.com. but it also stopped working on another site of mine at the same time…

  • Sorry you had trouble.

You have to enable “Data Export” in the form edit page:
check the box “Enable data export after the message”

This was mentioned in the changelog when 2.9.8.2 came out

Awesome. That was it. Thanks so much… Now I just gotta recover the ones that didn’t transfer over… luckily I kept those emails.

Mike – I had not been using any DB extension and also stopped getting all emails around this same time frame. I tried enabling data export and nothing. Any other ideas, and is there anyway I can recover all my past contact submissions??

    Thanks.
    Tom

    nutom06,
If you are not using this DB extension, then no emails are saved, just sent off to email.

So there is no way to recover the 2 weeks of submissions that have not been emailed to me after the plugin updates were made?

nutom06, I cannot make emails come back that were sent. perhaps you can contact your web server tech support to have them check if the emails are stuck on their email server queue somewhere.

    Hello Mike,

    Thanks for a great plugin.

I am having the same problem as @bobbybrown235 above. The plugin was working then it stopped once I did the update. I have checked the box “enabled data export after the message” and the form data is still not being saved to the database.

I also just updated to WP 3.1 and this error persists. Can you help? Is there some setting that I am missing? I am still getting the emails, but need to have this data saved to the db. Do I need to recreate the form?

Is it possible to send emails to the contacts in the database of
Contact Form to DB Extension v. 1.83?

No, you would have to copy or export the data and use that to create your own email. But I will put that on the TO DO list
