[Plugin: Contact Form 7] URGENT HELP!! TROUBLE AFTER UPDATE TO NEW VERSION 3!!

  • After I updated, I tried to create a new form: In this new form I also used the second mail, saved and tried it. I didn’t received any mail and wanted to check for errors but the message body and mail addresses disappeared.
    I made it again and saw that after pressing the save button the field contents are again disappearing.
    Later I saw that the contents from my old forms which I created with the previous version also disappeared.

    HELP HELP HELP

    I’m afraid not to uninstall it, because I’m using the database connector and one of the changes is the new uninstall.php which is wiping out the form data out of the database. That means I’ll loose also my submitted data… (I think)
    I deactivated and activated it but no change.

    ANY IDEA? OR HELP BETTER A SOLUTION
    Can I delete the files from the plugin folder and restore the backup files from the old version?

    Does anybody knows that or maybe made it?

    Maybe you have failed to upgrade for some reason. Unless you have pressed the red “delete” link on the plugin list (Plugins > Installed Plugins menu), your data of old version remains. Download Contact Form 7 2.4.6 from here, then just replace the plugins/contact-form-7 folder to 2.4.6. You’ll see the old data.

    All fields are back… Puuhh…

    I think I won’t be able to update…

    Anyway it’s working now and if i can help to research the reason for this, just tell me.

    I just realized that my form created with version 2.4.6 came back and the form created with version 3.0 is not there anymore??
    It seems that the versions are not using the same database table to store the formdata.

    After restoring to the old version, when I press the submit button it is not giving me the submitted message and the arrows are not stopping to rotate…

    Sorry but again any Idea?

    In a fresh wp install there is no such problem! Working perfect.
