[plugin Contact Form 7] uses English, though wordpress core and locale are fr-FR

  • hello. my wordpress is set to FRENCH locale…. Still, after submitting the contact form on my site, the following message appears in English: Thank you. Your message was submitted successfully.

    How can I set those messages to appear in French ?

  • If you still can’t get the messages in French after seeing my other reply to you, below the Mail section on the plugin’s Admin page is a closed section called Messages. Click its header and a screen will display that lets you change the text on all the plugin’s messages. You can replace the English with equivalent French.

    First check to make sure you have all the files in the plugin’s language folder, that you just are not missing the French language file.

    yeah……. so if I have 5 websites, I have to manually change every single statement in the form on every single website, today, and maybe even again and again in the future on each upgrade that erases my preferences….. that is not how it is supposed to work.
