[Plugin: Content Slider by SlideDeck] Embedding Flash does not play well in Internet Explorer

I’ve never tried it in SlideDeck before, but it does produce valid code (unlike the typical embeds), so it may stand a better chance of working with SlideDeck.

Viper buttons are not added to the Slidedeck interface even though it has the wysiwyg buttons as well..

Try just the shortcode. For example, VVQ’s shortcode for a YouTube video is:

Well, yeah, pretty much everything. Can’t use it without playing nice in M$ Internet Explorer though.

Did that, thanks. Will probably not be able to keep aspect ratio in the currently used rectangle. Will have to rethink the layout if I do want to.

Other odd thing is that I do not see a play button on Youtube video now

Hmm OK now. Wonder if my MacBookPro + Flash acted up while I was running the same page with Flash in Firefox, Safari and IE in VmWare Fusion..

We use slidedeck plugins with using image and video. But page downloading speed is very slow in IE. Please give us some solution. We Used SlideDeck.3.6. This plugins works fine in Firefox and also in Chorme. But the downloading speed in IE is very slow. Basically we customize the slidedeck according requirement. In the end we decided to use Coda Slider to rotate YouTube movies

Thanks for your quick reply on it.

Basically you wanted me to add the ‘Coda Slider’ jquery script into our slidedeck plugins.right? At this moment we dont have any requirement to use multiple video. So we are just showing the embeded code of youtube video based on the logic of string search.So if we add the slider script there don’t you think that it should increase the delay of page loading more?

I ditched Slidedeck and used Coda Slider as an integrated jQuery plugin for the sliding + the Smart Youtube WordPress plugin to load the movies. And that works well cross-browser and is Open Source.

I use

• jQuery Coda Slider plugin code to slide content
• Content slided is Custom Post Type posts using a custom loop
• Load Custom Post Type menu in Dashboard using necessary code
• Call CPT menu YouTube Slider or something else
• Inside each “Youtube Slider” custom post type post I added/created I inserted a Smart Youtube shortcode.
• Coda Slider will load all YouTube CPT created and Smart YouTube plugin will load the Youtube movies triggered by the shortcode
